Today, we had the privilege of serving alongside the incredible teens and children of Domingo Maiz. We delivered school supplies to two schools, spreading hope and opportunity to those who need it most. The Caricoli school is in Veron and close to Domingo Maiz. The Juanillo school is close to Cap Cana. We also helped restore our 4-H clover and art mural on the wall in Domingo Maiz, leaving a lasting impact on the community, and cleaned up trash, making the area a better place for all.
The highlight of my day was watching the children's faces as they painted with us. Their joy was infectious, and it reminded me of the power of kindness and compassion. We are blessed to have what we have, and it's our responsibility to share that with others. Domingo Maiz taught me the importance of community and the impact we can have on each other. I am excited to see what tomorrow brings.

Today we traveled to Domingo Maiz, in Veron, to help clean up the streets of the community. While there we also touched up a mural that was established in 2016 by previous Virginia 4-H'ers. While we were there, many of the children who had come to our Day Camp eagerly helped us. In addition to the kids who came to our camps we had many new faces come and join in. We were served lunch in Jacqueline's home. She is in charge of all the Dominican kids we hosted at our Day Camp.
We also went to two schools to donate the school supplies and books we brought with us and to tour their schools. On the way to the school in Juanillo, we learned that they were in need of $500 to buy a printer for their school. We took up a collection among our group of teens and adults, and in about 5 minutes, we collected $300 to help them buy the printer! The schools were so elated to receive the supplies, and Juanillo was very grateful to receive the money, however they were just as excited to show us their new facilities.
